Raita

Raita Recipe- an Indian yogurt sauce with cucumber, mint and coriander. Cooling and refreshing, serve this with spicy Indian dishes to cool the palate.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup plain yogurt

  • 1/2 cup finely diced or grated cucumber - remove seeds first

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped red onion

  • 2 tsp lemon or lime juice, more to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 2–3 tbsp mint, chopped

  • 2–3 tbsp coriander, chopped

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a bowl and stir.

  2. Refrigerate until  ready to serve.
